Collierville Police finding new ways to communicate

The Collierville Police Department launched a new Community Notification Service called “Nixle” to improve communication with people who live, work, and visit the community.

The system provides a quick, efficient, and secure way to get neighborhood-level information out to community members who subscribe to the system. Through www.nixle.com the department can send text messages and e-mail alerts to subscribers.

Please spread the word about our use of the system and add this information to the bottom of your e-mail signature: “Up-to-the-minute updates from the Collierville Police Department by e-mail and cell phone: www.nixle.com”

A Simple Weekend Security Step to Ease Your Mind

We encourage the members in our community to read "Inventory Helps Recoup Possessions" by Maryanne Macdonald from the Commercial Appeal. She outlines a simple way to tackle a very important but often daunting task--making a list of your valuables. Colonel Billy Garrett regularly encourages us to do exactly what Maryanne is suggesting.

"Be part of the solution. Help keep Midtown a safe place to live and work."

Best,

Peggy W.
